Updated AIR model predicts ‘less frequent and lower-severity’ terrorist attacks

Catastrophe modeller AIR Worldwide (AIR) has identified a "reduced capacity for large-scale coordinated attacks in the United States from al-Qa'ida and its allies", according to the latest update of its terrorism model.

The revised model also reflects an "increased reliance on lower-severity weapons requiring less expertise, training, and development" among terrorists.
