Thai losses continue to dent Q4 results

The continuing impact of the Thailand floods has been one of the recurring themes this week as a slew of reinsurers unveiled statements in relation to their fourth quarter results.

RenaissanceRe, which writes a direct and facultative (D&F) book via its Syndicate 1458 at Lloyd's, said the Thai floods are expected to result in a net negative impact of around $45mn on its Q4 financials.
