Q4 earnings season places focus on fac

After the initial flurry of fourth quarter earnings announcements, early indications appear to be broadly positive in terms of the current and prospective appetite for facultative reinsurance.

As expected, fourth quarter losses to date have mostly been fairly bruising, with the series of US wildfires during the period compounding a record-breaking third quarter loss for a host of carriers.
