Puerto Rican uncertainty continues

Nearly three months after Hurricane Maria swept across Puerto Rico a number of questions remain unanswered as to the extent of damage to the island's industrial and commercial facilities, and by inference the scale of (re)insured losses for the facultative market.

One of the crucial factors has been the supply of electricity to the island, with conflicting assessments of the state of play.
