Construction risks are seeing increasing interest and activity among (re)insurers at 1 April renewals and there have been modest prices rises in offshore energy, said Willis, while aviation rates continue to flounder amid plentiful capacity and minimal loss activity.
The Willis '1st View' report said that with no significant changes to insurers' probable maximum loss capacity there is fierce competition for mega projects while the civil construction arena is reporting "more robust rating and increased activity".
