PCS maintains Harvey loss figure at around $15.9bn

Property data provider Property Claims Services (PCS) has kept its insured loss total for Hurricane Harvey at around $15.9bn, following its initial loss estimate in September.

According to sister publication The Insurance Insider the company has adjusted its initial figure downwards by only $15mn.

As previously reported, the PCS estimate was almost entirely composed of claims from Texas, totalling around $15.7bn.

Of these, $8.2bn are believed to relate to commercial property, $4.4bn to auto property, and $3.1bn to personal lines...
