North American onshore losses mount

As North American onshore energy claims continue to mount in first quarter results, the exodus from the energy excess casualty class has also continued apace.

Enbridge subsidiary Enbridge Energy Partners (EEP) has maintained its $550mn estimate for costs arising from the leak on its 6B pipeline in Michigan.

In addition, EEP has not changed its original estimate of incurring aggregate costs of approximately $45mn before insurance recoveries for the leak from its 6A pipeline in Illinois.
