Specialty casualty direct and facultative underwriter Newline has appointed Guy Tippett senior underwriter responsible for all commercial medical malpractice (med mal) underwriting.

He was most recently med mal class underwriter at Novae, reporting to unit head Bill Edrich.

"We are delighted to announce Guy's appointment to head up one of our key business segments. Guy brings more than 20 years of experience to this important role," said Phil Foley, chief underwriting officer for Newline.
