Mississippi storms cause University shutdown

The extent of (re)insured damage from the severe storms which tore through Mississippi at the weekend is expected to cost writers at least $200m, according to state insurance commissioner Mike Chaney.

Of note for direct & facultative writers is extensive damage to William Carey University, a Baptist institution south of downtown Hattiesburg, where reports suggest that most buildings were affected, with many heavily damaged.
