Metro crash authority sues broker

The public authority that runs the Washington DC metro has sued Aon for negligence in relation to the Washington Metro train crash in June 2009 that killed nine people and seriously injured a number of others.

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is pushing for compensation damages of more than $9mn from Aon for counts that include negligence, breach of contract and constructive fraud.
