London market escapes Pakistan cargo crash

The Russian cargo plane IL-76 that crashed shortly after takeoff from Karachi Jinnah International Airport, Pakistan on 28 November was not insured in the London market, Inside FAC understands.

It is understood the aircraft is insured through Georgian insurance company, Imedi L International, and that Moscow Airclaims CIS has been appointed as the adjuster.

It has been difficult to establish the hull value of the 26-year old Ilyushin IL-76TD 4L-GNI of Sun Way.
