Hiscox warns on US property rates

Bermuda-headquartered (re)insurer Hiscox sees rates remaining "attractive" for most reinsurance lines at present, but warned that there is continued pressure in US property.

Unveiling its initial forecast for 2011, Hiscox added that the Deepwater Horizon loss has turned the offshore energy market, where it is achieving average rate increases of 10-15 percent with improved terms and conditions.
