Hannover Re has reiterated its interest in so-called 'clean technology', through reinsurance cover for renewable power projects and a warranty product for energy-saving buildings.

Speaking at the Baden-Baden Meeting yesterday, Hannover Re executive board member Dr Michael Pickel said the renewable energy sector offers "vast potential for reinsurers" in the move away from nuclear power generation in Germany.
