GCube adds $100mn to offshore renewable capacity

Specialist renewable energy agency GCube has added an additional $100mn to its existing capacity for offshore renewable energy projects.

This follows an announcement at the beginning of the week that it has underwritten Australia's first utility-scale solar power project.

GCube said that with "significant growth" in the offshore renewable energy sector, particularly in Europe, there was a market need for insurance capacity to support both the increasing size of offshore wind developments and the global proliferation of projects.
