For several years now the Latin American country has been ravaged by a violent conflict involving outlawed armed groups and drug cartels. And its image has hardly benefited from the steady spate of kidnappings of foreign nationals - especially those on business - whose ransom payments have continued to line the pockets of groups such as The National Liberation Army and The Revolutionary Armed Forces of Columbia, left-wing guerrilla...
