Chaucer backs away from US fac market

Inside FAC can reveal that Chaucer has decided to withdraw from its US binder and facultative property business. It is understood the decision is part of a broader strategic move to restructure its US quake and wind-exposed business within the property division.

The decision impacts the futures of Chaucer's class underwriter for US D&F Andrew Richardson and class underwriter for property binding authorities Sarah Mendola. Both are well regarded in the market.
