Aegis leads $180mn Xcel power plant loss

Aegis in London leads the programme for Xcel Energy's Sherburne County Generating Station (Sherco 3), where a recent fire is expected to cost the power market up to $180mn, Inside FAC understands.

The November fire at the Xcel Energy power generation plant has put it out of action for several months.

Unit 3 at the plant is likely to be out of service for six months or longer according to Xcel Energy, after routine maintenance was interrupted on 19 November...
