Ace USA has hired Darren Small from Chubb to head a new renewable energy practice.

The new unit will be part of the Ace casualty risk division, with Small based in Chicago. Reporting to John Moore, vice president and national energy underwriting manager, Small will have overall underwriting authority for the entire Ace renewable energy book of business.
