RSA expects £35mn Italian earthquake loss

UK insurer RSA expects to make a net loss of around £35mn from May's earthquakes in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy.

In a trading statement, RSA added that it expects to make a net loss from adverse UK weather conditions in June and July to date of roughly £50mn across its UK household, motor and commercial property portfolios.
