Now that it is the peak holiday season for many of us, it's little surprise that the fac market's arrivals and departure lounges have been extremely busy of late, with many off to exciting new destinations.

Look at Latin America for starters. As we report in this issue (see our news section), one of the market's leading lights, former Willis and GCFac regional supremo Hugh Powell, has resurfaced with a start-up broker MacKinlay.
