Liberty Syndicates opens in Colombia
Lloyd's carrier Liberty Syndicates has opened a representative office in the Colombian capital Bogotá after securing regulatory approval last month. The main focus will be on property treaty, motor reinsurance, treaty casualty and marine reinsurance. However, specialty products including agriculture, terrorism and contingency will also be underwritten.
Liberty Syndicates is the first managing agent to secure an Admitted Reinsurer Licence from the Colombian regulator. The office will be headed by Jose-Ernesto Ospina, a 30-year veteran...
