Rocky road
Despite the devastation caused by the Madeira floods, which caused over 40 deaths and injured scores of others, the fac market wasn't expected to have any losses - or so we thought.
Now, it transpires, Madeira's roads were insured in the market, including any property on them.

Of course, the loss figure isn't going to devastate the books of underwriters when you compare it to some of the hefty blows that have struck the market elsewhere this year...
