As The Fac Door went to press, PartnerRe greeted us with the news that Patrick Thiele, its president and CEO, is to retire at the end of 2010 after a decade at the helm of the global reinsurer. He is to be succeeded by Costas Miranthis, currently CEO of PartnerRe Global. Thiele has held the position of president and CEO since December 2000.
