Sempra dispute poised to run and run

One of the largest reinsurance disputes currently facing the London market, involving US energy giant Sempra, is still in the very early stages of legal argument and could take up to a decade to resolve, Inside FAC understands.

So far no parties to the dispute, which relates to October 2007's Californian wildfires, has yet entered arbitration proceedings, leading to the likelihood that this could turn out to be another marathon London market reinsurance litigation.
